ABOUT

This participation-based music festival takes place in front of Tokyo Station under the direction of Yoshihide Otomo. This expanded program this year includes Fred Frith from overseas and domestic artists including Shinji Ishii, Shugo Tokumaru, Ikuko Harada, and Yasuhiro Yoshigaki.

Ensembles Tokyo is a participation-based music festival in which anyone can take part. Under the direction of musician Yoshihide Otomo, everyone who participates will seek to create with their own hands a new music space that transcends their individual positions and styles. The music festival shares the appeal of Tokyo with the world starting from Gyoko Street on the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station, Tokyo’s “front door” and a place where all sorts of people from around the world come together.
